This series of eight lessons takes you through the stages of movement organization from lying on our backs as infants, to learning to stand and walk. These simultaneously organize our brain for more complex interactions with our environment. Frequently, we miss one of these stages, or lose it later in life due to injury or the demands of life.

Better Breathing

Freeing Your Sternum & Upper Back

When your sternum is not moving, your ribs cannot move and this binds your thoracic spine, the area between your shoulder blades, which can cause you to overuse your neck and lower back, creating pain. Lessons and Practices to Calm Your Nervous System

 Most of us live with a good deal of stress in our lives, and events over the last several years have increased the stress we are experiencing.  We have put together several Awareness Through Movement Lessons, Breathing Practices, and short Guided Meditations that we have found can teach you how to find greater calm in your life.  However, they are not “miracle cures.” These practices and lessons have benefited many people over many years, but in order to benefit from them they need to be practiced, done daily or several times a day for at least several weeks or months before you will begin to notice the change.  If they are practiced as they are given, they will bring benefit.

Improving the Use of Your Arms

Many of us isolate our arms from the rest of our bodies. Integrated use of your arms involves coordinating movements of your spine and shoulder girdle with your arms, while eliciting support from your pelvis, legs, and ultimately the ground.

Releasing Tension in Your Jaw, Mouth and Neck

When your jaw, tongue, or mouth are tight, your neck will be tight and restricted in movement as well. Additionally, a tight jaw will restrict your breathing, thus creating anxiety, or adding to existing anxiety. These five simple lessons can help you relax and integrate your jaw, mouth, and neck.

Walking and Running

Walking and running involve complex interactions of your entire body. Most approaches to walking and running teach you to lock your trunk and just use your legs. This is just the opposite approach - for greatest efficiency, coordination, and ease - walk and run with your whole body. This seven lesson series will help you to include your whole self. You will have access to this package for 3 months from the time of purchase. You may listen as many times as you’d like.
