Donation and Cost of Retreat

What does the cost of the retreat cover? The fee of $800USD covers your room, meals, and a percentage of the two teacher’s room and meals. This sum goes directly to the retreat center. The teachers are not paid from this sum.

How do the teachers get paid for their time? The teachers are not paid by the fee of the retreat. They request that each individual donate for the teachers organization and instruction.

Please decide upon a donation sum BEFORE you attend the retreat!  In this way, it will not be a concern while on retreat.  We provide envelopes at the end of the retreat for this purpose, or you can donate on this website.

How do I figure out the amount to give for a donation to the teachers ? Spend time looking deeply at what you can afford based on your own life and situation. Some have excess, others live in poverty. Give what you are able without causing hardship, harm or hurt to you or others. You could also consider these factors. The teachers spend 6 months preparation, they have expenses such as the printing/binding of the retreat booklet, advertising, administration, and insurance.

How do the teachers use the donation? After expenses are paid, the teachers put the amount of a full scholarship into a retreat scholarship fund, and then pay themselves.
